A long-standing Florentine trattoria on Borgo San Iacopo, in the Oltrarno. My favourite restaurant in Florence. Simple, hearty and traditional dishes done exceptionally well. Also, they have fantastic gelato. One of the best chocolate gelato I have ever had.

A seasonal Florentine kitchen on Piazza dei Nerli in San Frediano, part restaurant and part salotto, with local craftwork on show. More modern than a typical trattoria but it was good and the restaurant is pleasantly designed.

The Milanese Da Giacomo brought to the hills above Florence, at the Hotel Il Salviatino. The same great food you can get at da Giacomo in Milan but with a fantastic view of Florence.

The bar in the atrium at the Four Seasons on Borgo Pinti. I know it might be an obvious choice but this was one of the most delicious meals I had in Florence.
