This is the one place in Frankfurt I have eaten at myself and would recommend.

Mario Lohninger's restaurant on Schweizer Straße in Sachsenhausen, by the Main, where the menu is split between Die Heimat, drawing on the family's Austrian roots, and Die Welt. Really great place for Wiener schnitzel and I love how in Germany they serve it with cranberry sauce.
