A kebab shop on Mitropoleos, by Monastiraki square. One of those historic and touristy souvlaki places, but it's a must for any visit to Athens.

A souvlaki shop on Filellinon, near Syntagma. Not a sit-down restaurant, but a really great quality souvlaki on the go.

A seafood restaurant on the water at Vouliagmeni, south of Athens. Lovely setting overlooking the Saronic Gulf. Great food, but unfortunately I missed taking a photo of the especially good orzo with seafood.

A fish restaurant on the harbour at Mikrolimano, in Piraeus. I still think of this place often as they had this incredibly delicious spaghetti with lobster. Unfortunately the picture I have of it is too blurry to share, but take my word for it and order it when you go. It's also a very pleasant setting as it's on the water.
