3 places I recommend
These are the three bakeries and coffee shops in Innsbruck I have eaten at myself and would recommend.
A well-loved Tyrolean bakery, this Altstadt branch sits right on Herzog-Friedrich-Straße in the heart of Innsbruck's old town. Expect freshly baked breads, pretzels, pastries and sandwiches, plus coffee to enjoy on the go or while taking in the historic surroundings.
Address: Herzog-Friedrich-Straße 36, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria
One of the oldest cafes in Innsbruck's old town, Strudel-Café Kröll is famous for its huge variety of freshly baked strudels, from classic apple to creative sweet and savoury fillings. Tucked near the Golden Roof, it's a cosy spot for breakfast, coffee and dessert. We went for the hot chocolate which is done like a make it yourself approach. You place the big chocolate chunks into the milk and stir.
Address: Hofgasse 6, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria
Dom Cafe-Bar sits beside the cathedral in Innsbruck's old town, with an atmospheric interior of vaulted ceilings, wood panelling and chandeliers. A relaxed, welcoming spot serving coffee, drinks and light fare from late morning into the night. We enjoyed their super delicious mulled wine on a very cold snowy day.
Address: Pfarrgasse 3, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria
