The flagship tavern of the Ayinger private brewery, directly opposite the Hofbrauhaus in Munich's Old Town. Unpretentious Bavarian cooking done properly: crisp roast pork with dark beer gravy, slow-braised ox cheeks and house-made sausages, matched to Ayinger's own beers. Lively and wood-panelled.
